In 2015, Alan Yau & Annie Chow reinvented the traditional Hong Kong egg waffle recipe and created a range of flavoured waffles in combination with different ice cream and toppings. They started a small booth in a food court in Canada. Being one of the most beloved sweets in Hong Kong back in the 1950s, it quickly became very popular in the market. People fell in love with the taste and style and it became an instant hit in Canada! From there on they created the brand Golden Bubbles and participated in various food festivals and night markets.
